FAST-Infra Group takes part in the 8th PPP Week in Istanbul

FAST-Infra is co-sponsoring and actively participating in the 8th Istanbul PPP Week, which takes place from March 5 to 8, 2024 and is organized by the Istanbul PPP Center of Excellence with the support of various multilateral development banks (MDBs). Under the theme “PPP: Global Greener Growthful”, the event brings together multiple stakeholders from the sector.

Accelerated implementation of the FAST-Infra Label

The FAST-infra Label is deepening and broadening its assessment methodology beyond the new and renewable energy sector. For several months now, the FAST-Infra Label team at the Global Infrastructure Basel foundation, headed by Louis Downing, has been working on a cross-sectoral framework to enable labelling to be offered for all types of infrastructure.

As a key partner in the FAST-Infra initiative, the Fin Infra department is part of the Treasury Department of the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty. It advises public entities on their investment projects, and is the point of contact for all public and private players involved in public infrastructure and its financing.

A spate of events, panels and discussions held from December 1st to 8th provided the opportunity to celebrate the first achievements of this initiative launched by the One planet summit.

Pioneering infrastructure project to receive the FAST-Infra label

On 3 December 2023, the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB) and the FAST-Infra group (FIG) held a panel at COP28. Dedicated to presenting the FAST-Infra label and a pioneering project developed in Mumbai, which has successfully obtained the provisional label, this event took place in the LGMA pavilion, dedicated to multi-level government agencies and sponsored by Bloomberg Philantropies, one of GIB’s partners.
